Andy, Judson's second son, graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Forest Management in 2003. After graduation, Andrew worked in different facets of home construction for almost 10 years. In the fall of 2014, Andy picked up the baton of R&V from his late father and has operated the company since then. Andy is blessed to be married to his wonderful wife Amy since 2004 and grateful to have five beautiful children: Amelia (18), Aiden (16), Ava (13), Adeline (deceased 2016), and Asher (6).

Andy is an Approved Forester in the state of NJ; recognized as a Technical Service Provider (TSP) by the NRCS; licensed with the NJDEP as a Certified Pesticide Applicator; Certified Tree Farm Inspector; member of the Society of American Foresters (SAF); and member of the NJ Forest Association (NJFA).

Dylon graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2009 with an associate’s degree in Forest Technology. In 2012, he received his bachelor’s degree in Forest Land Management from Pennsylvania State University. Since graduating, he has worked as a forester for several New Jersey and Pennsylvania firms and as a forester technician for the Pennsylvania Department of Natural Resources.

Dylon joined R&V in 2014. His professional experience is defined by his conducting forest inventories on public and private lands and marking and cruising timber in both NJ and PA. Dylon has vast knowledge in georeferencing and digitally mapping properties, conducting invasive species control, Forest Stand Improvement (FSI) cuttings, and conducting collaborative projects with outreach agencies such as the NJ Forest Service, NRCS, and NJ Audubon. Dylon is recognized as an Approved Forester by the state of NJ, a Certified Tree Farm Inspector, has his NJDEP Core Certification for Pesticide Application, Level 1 & 2 Certified in Soren Eriksson’s Game of Logging, member of the NJ chapter of the Society of American Foresters (SAF); and member of the NJ Forestry Association (NJFA).

Dylon and his wife, Jamie, live in Newton, NJ, with their son, Branch, and their dog, Bobby Ray. Dylon is proud to have been raised and influenced by his late father, Dean L. Borger, his mother, Pamela, and the rest of his beloved family.

Laura graduated in 2008 from Westfield State University with a BA in history and education. She has held a variety of jobs including park ranger, ski instructor, educational farmer, and farmhand. In 2013, she started Peace and Carrots Farm on a parcel of land in NY state her family has owned for five generations. She farmed 3 acres, mostly by hand, for 8 years and lived in a tiny house she built at the far end of the fields.

Tiring of the tiny house life, Laura joined R&V in late 2019, at first assisting with inventory work, and then rising through the (rather small) ranks to take on nearly all of the inventory work, mapping, and plan writing tasks. Since 2019, she and her partner, Matt, bought a house in Montague and got married in early 2025.

While she has no formal education in anything related to forestry or agriculture, her love for the land has allowed her to quickly pick up the skills required to assist landowners. She likes plants a lot and has a knack for remembering almost everything she reads.

Peter is a recent graduate from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, obtaining a technical associate of Environmental & Natural Resources Conservation from the ESF Ranger School in 2022 and a bachelor in Wildlife Science in 2024.

He joined Ridge & Valley in Fall 2024, bringing experience in forest and ecological inventory, digital mapping, and forest and wildlife ecology.

Among other things, he enjoys birdwatching, plant identification, and hiking; all skills that have found their way into his work at R&V.
